Jordan Rossiter has infuriated Rangers supporters after an image promoting a taunt from arch-rivals Celtic was seemingly retweeted by the injured Gers midfielder.
Rossiter’s followers were none too pleased when a photograph of Celtic fans holding up a banner which read “Don’t forget to wish your sisters a Happy Mother’s Day” appeared on the player’s Twitter feed.
The retweet was apparently undone very quickly but not before several fans took note and subjected the former Liverpool man to abuse via social media.

The banner was reportedly unfurled during Celtic’s 3-2 victory over their Glasgow rivals at Ibrox last Sunday, which coincided with Mother’s Day, but the image did not appear on Rossiter’s account until this week.
While most fans criticised the 20-year-old for what would have been the height of disrespect from Rossiter, several claimed that he was actually sat in the director’s box for his side’s defeat to Kilmarnock at the time and suggested that he’d fallen victim to a hack.
Either way, an explanation would go a long way from the youngster.
