Rangers fans are furious at iPhone’s Siri …and Celtic supporters are loving it

It's a touchy subject.

Rangers fans aren't happy with iPhone's Siri program. The voice-activated 'personal assistant' has angered fans of the Scottish club by telling them their club is just four years old. The issue is a very touchy subject with Rangers supporters. Fans of rival clubs, particularly Celtic, insist that Rangers were formed in 2012, rather than 1872. A new holding company, Sevco Scotland Limited, began trading on December 19 2012, after Rangers went into liquidation. When asked the question, Siri responds: "The answer is Wednesday, December 19, 2012." According to The Scottish Sun, Apple have declined to comment on the story, but "a source close to the firm" said: "It's not a deliberate attempt to deceive or mislead."

"If you ask Siri when 'Glasgow' Rangers was founded it presents you with links to sites including Wikipedia that references the 1872 date."
