VIDEO: Rangers player instantly regrets celebrating in front of opposition fans

Marching orders

Robert Redmond

Who’s laughing now?

After his teammate had put Rangers two goals to the good away at Morton, Andy Halliday appeared to be rubbing it in the faces of the home supporters.

The midfielder had just watched Billy McKay find the back of the net and seemingly took great pleasure in taunting the opposition fans, pumping his fist and gesturing towards the home support.

His fun didn’t last long, though.

The referee wasn’t happy with Halliday’s antics and quickly showed him a second yellow card, prompting shock and anger amongst the Rangers players and staff.

And undoubted laughs amongst the Morton fans.

It’s rare to see a player be sent-off for such an act, so it may yet be overturned.

If the club decide to appeal his suspension, and it fails, at least he can take some time off and go on a Halliday.

Get it?giphyI’ll see myself out.
