As we continue to count down the days until the start of the 2026/27 football season, it's time to put your knowledge of football history to the test once again – this time with the game's most prestigious individual honour, the Ballon d'Or.
While we're still a few months away from finding out who will succeed Rodri as the next winner – with Harry Kane hopefully among the favourites – we're looking back at every previous recipient of the famous Golden Ball.
First awarded in 1956, the Ballon d'Or has been lifted by some of the greatest players the sport has ever seen. And, although the award became synonymous with the incredible rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo over the past two decades, its history stretches back through generations of footballing icons, from Stanley Matthews and Johan Cruyff to Michel Platini, Marco van Basten, Ronaldo Nazário, and many more.
In the quiz below, your task is simple: name every Ballon d'Or winner from all 70 editions of the award.
