While everyone’s first thoughts were with Luke Shaw after his horror injury, many thoughts also turned to the man responsible for the left-back’s double leg-break.
PSV Eindhoven’s Hector Moreno was considered public enemy number one by some United fans after his tackle on England defender Shaw, the message he put out this morning may change some opinions.
Moreno himself suffered a similarly serious injury earlier in his career, breaking his leg in Mexico’s World Cup exit against the Netherlands, and took to Twitter to wish Shaw a fast recovery.

Manchester United lost their Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven by two goals to one, Moreno with the Dutch side’s first, but their fans will have more time for the centre-back after this very human reaction.
