Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly open to the idea of loaning out Kylian Mbappé this season.

Mbappé’s future is hot conversation at the moment with the Frenchman confirming he will not extend his deal at Paris Saint-Germain – which expires next summer – but currently has no plans to leave until the end of the 2023/2024 campaign.

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal submitted a €300m transfer bid for France footballer Kylian Mbappé on Monday.

If PSG accept the offer, it will break the world transfer record, currently €200m, which was set when PSG signed Neymar from Barcelona in 2017.

In a further twist, Mbappé has reportedly been offered the chance to play in Saudi Arabia for just one season – at which point, he will be free to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2024.

The Saudi side would pay the striker a reported salary of €700m for a single season with the club.

But according to the BBC, PSG could allow Mbappé to leave on loan. Simon Stone tweeted: “PSG are open to the idea of Kylian Mbappé leaving on loan this summer to see out the final year of his contract elsewhere. This would allow Mbappé to join Real Madrid for nothing in 12 months’ time, keep him playing this season and generate a loan fee for PSG.”

PSG reportedly believe that the World Cup winner already has an agreement arranged with Madrid and that he will join them regardless of where he is come the end of the season.

Madrid are looking for a new long-term striker after Karim Benzema’s departure at the end of last season.

A number of other clubs such as Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have registered their interest but Manchester United are not one of those, with their focus on Rasmus Hojlund and potentially, Harry Kane.
