Several Championship clubs have also decided to stop taking a knee over the last 18 months. One of those clubs was Bournemouth, who are now preparing for their return to the top flight after winning promotion last season.
It was reported on Monday that they will stand by their decision not to take a knee when the season begins.
With Arsenal's visit to Crystal Palace on Friday night marking the start of the new campaign, Premier League club captains have already held one meeting on the issue. According to the BBC, no final decision was reached with the captains deciding to consult their teammates before holding a second meeting later this week.
The Premier League have indicated they will support the players in their final decision.
