Scotland were unable to keep alive their World Cup dream on Sunday, held to a draw in Slovenia.
Needing a win to progress to a play-off, Gordon Strachan's men took a lead through Leigh Griffiths in the first half but then fell behind to a couple of Roman Bezjak goals after the break. A late Robert Snodgrass equaliser briefly gave Scotland hope, but a winner did not follow. The wait goes on for Scotland, who haven't appeared at a major tournament since the 1998 World Cup in France.
Already, it seems many have been quick to lie the blame for their latest qualification failure at the feet of Strachan. One of those to do this was former Celtic striker, Chris Sutton, whose tweet after the game received plenty of support from disappointed Scottish supporters.
'The Scotland campaign was lost because of Gordon Strachan and his team selection in the early games,' Sutton tweeted. At the time of writing, the tweet has received in excess of 1,500 retweets.

Scotland's recent form appears to support Sutton's theory. Their last defeat in a qualifier came at the hands of England last November, and their draw in Ljubljana brought to an end of four straight wins.
