Skrtel banned for three matches after De Gea ‘stamp’

Send in the clowns...

Martin Skrtel has been banned for three matches by the FA for his alleged stamp on David de Gea.

Liverpool contested the defender’s charge for violent conduct, but the FA dismissed their appeal.

Seemingly unimpressed by the decision, Skrtel posted a picture of a group of clowns on Instagram on Wednesday morning.

It appears the Slovakian has been taking lessons in social media etiquette from team-mate Mario Balotelli, with the notoriously humourless FA certain not to see the funny side.
