The Frenchman has been the most consistent defender since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield but was forced off before half-time and left the ground on crutches.

The club will learn the extent of Sakho's injury following a scan, but Klopp told the media after the Palace game: “We don’t want to speculate, but we have to wait for scan. I’d rather lose 4-1 and keep him in the team.”
