Reports from France claim the Brazilian is in the French capital to sign with PSG after Antero Henrique - their new sporting director - tabled a bumper deal to take him to the Ligue 1 club.
The news has not gone down well at all with City's manager who, according to The Independent, has been left 'fuming' and 'stunned' at Alves' decision to move to PSG.
It's believed that Guardiola had allowed Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta leave the club in the belief that Alves would be taking one of their places. City are also said to be interested in bringing Tottenham's Kyle Walker to the club this summer, with reports claiming Spurs are asking £50m for the England international right back.Explore more on these topics:
