Paul Pogba’s new boots for Manchester derby look like something out of a Bond film

Sleek, suave and sophisticated.

It’s 2016 and players wear particular boots for special occasions. Get used to it.

There’s no going back as sports apparel giants take the opportunity to hawk their wares on the pitch when they know millions will be tuned in.

One of the biggest games of the season takes place this weekend as Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola do battle for the pride of Manchester.

And the most expensive footballer in the world will be wearing some stunning new boots for the day that’s in it.

It’s been announced that Paul Pogba will sport the ‘Adidas ACE16 + Purecontrol Viper Pack’ for Saturday’s early kick-off.

This is what adidas had to say about the fancy footwear.

“The ACE 16+ PURECONTROL Viper Pack version offers a Primeknit upper and NON STOP GRIP (NSG) technology, delivering an unrivalled surface for close ball control, while the X 16+PURECHAOS Viper Pack version features a state-of- the-art PURECUT SOCK SYSTEM, covering the boot laces to give players the ultimate fit.”

Now, in layman’s terms, we think that means Pogba’s boots will have some of that snazzy lightweight material on the toe part, so the Frenchman can better “feel” the ball, before he unloads those 30 yard volleys we’ve so much in those lovely Juventus Vines.

Boasting a retail price of “if you have to ask, it’s probably best you don’t check” (something around £200), the new boots certainly deliver on the Viper brand name.

Regardless of the Manchester derby result, Pogba is going to look like something out of a Bond film with his new boots.

Married to his new milk snake haircut and it’s clear: Pogba is aiming to be one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League.
