Patrice Evra did not mince his words, when responding to Theo Walcott's claim that the current Arsenal side could have been better than the 2008 Manchester United team.
Working as a pundit for Prime Video back in January, after the Gunners had become the first English side ever to complete a UCL league phase with their 100% record intact, Walcott said to his colleague Wayne Rooney: "Would your '08 team compete - well you would compete with this team [Arsenal] - but how does it compare to your 2008 team which was probably the best team I have ever played against?"
At the time, Rooney gave the following blunt response: "Yeah, we'd batter them."
Following Rooney's example, another former Red Devils star has now piled in on Theo Walcott.

Appearing on an episode of Rio Ferdinand Presents, former Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra was reminded on Walcott's claim.
After almost walking out of the studio, Evra began: "That’s the problem with Arsenal. Now he’s comparing this team with our 2008 team.
“I think he’s a menace for society. He should not be on TV. He’s dangerous for the kids. That’s why I keep saying they are delusional.
“I know I talk with my heart, but they are delusional. This is disrespect. He should never be on TV again when he starts asking questions like that.”
Evra's comments come after the Gunners' 2-1 loss to Man City, cutting Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League to just three points, and handing all momentum in the title race to Pep Guardiola's side.
