Paris Saint-Germain perform bizarre Nou Camp rondo as they prepare for Barca

Not seen this one before...

Who are we to start questioning Unai Emery’s coaching methods?

With his Paris Saint-Germain team taking an impressive 4-0 first leg lead to the Camp Nou on Wednesday, it’s fair to say that he knows a thing or two about getting the best out of his players.

All this said, we couldn’t help but notice this strange routine he had his players perform in the centre circle of Barcelona’s iconic stadium on Tuesday night.

All but three of the PSG players taking part in the session formed a circle by holding hands, with the remaining three players -Serge Aurier, Adrien Rabiot and Layvin Kurzawa – left to hold hand with each other in the middle. Once in position, the drill took the form of a rondo with all players continuing to hold hands throughout.

Despite hammering the Spanish champions in the first leg, PSG arrive in Barcelona knowing that if any team is capable of overturning a four goal first leg deficit, it’s Luis Enrique’s team.

Since losing in the French capital, Barca have won all four of their matches, scoring eleven goals in their two most recent outings, at home against Sporting Gijon (6-1) and away at Celta Vigo (5-0). If they take an early lead on Wednesday, you wouldn’t put it past them pulling off an unlikely turnaround.
