Papa Bouba Diop has passed away at the age of 42 following a long illness.
The Senegalese midfielder is best remembered in the UK for his spell at Fulham, where he became known for scoring long range shots from midfield.
Diop also represented Portsmouth, West Ham and Birmingham City, where he finished his playing career in 2013.
Fulham tweeted: "We are devastated to hear the news reports this evening that Papa Bouba Diop has passed away, aged 42. Rest well, Wardrobe."

He was also part of Senegal's 2002 World Cup squad who beat holders France, scoring the first goal of the tournament against them.
His former club Lens paid tribute to Diop, tweeting: "It is with great sadness that Racing Club de Lens has just learned of the passing of its former player Papa Bouba Diop , at the age of 42.
"We offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones."
