Having managed to avoid closure on the grounds that it had never hosted any copyrighted material, a Madrid court ruling demanded that the site was taken down last year.
Now the courts have ordered that Rojadirecta cease all illegal live streaming activity - both on their site and on similar ones. On top of this, the courts have ordered that Rojadirecta's parent company, Puerto 80 Projects, pay compensation to broadcasters such as Movistar+ and Canal+.
According to 101greatgoals, a compensation fee for the broadcasters has yet to be determined.
It appears that any hopes of Rojadirecta surviving this latest ruling are incredibly slim.
