Of course Patrice Evra used his favourite catchphrase as he confirmed West Ham move

We could've probably guessed the hashtag they'd use, too...

There you have it.

Patrice Evra is a West Ham player, clearly unable to resist the need to play under David Moyes once again.

His return to English football – nearly four years after leaving Manchester United for Juventus – was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon via a short video posted to West Ham’s social media channels.

In it, we are (of course) reminded by the French fullback of just how much he loves this game. We also see him blowing bubbles, with the announcement accompanied by the hashtag #ForEvraBlowingBubbles – enough to make us wonder if the club signed him purely to use that pun.

Evra has been a free agent since November, when he was released by Marseilles after attempting to kick a supporter before a Europa League game in Portugal. The defender was also fined €10,000 by Uefa for the incident.

Evra, now 36, had only joined Marseilles in the January of last year following a relatively successful spell in Italy with Juve.

West Ham are currently three points above the relegation zone, and on Tuesday denied newspaper claims that they were already considering replacing Moyes at the end of the season – whether the club avoid the drop or not.
