Odds suggest Arsenal could lose not one, but two players to Barcelona this summer

Arsenal’s squad could look very different in just over a year’s time.

Earlier this week, a graphic did the rounds on Twitter reminding us all just how many of the Gunners’ players were coming close to the end of their current deals with Arsene Wenger’s side.

That’s a lot of players!

But while the boardroom gets busy trying to get pen to paper on extensions, other clubs may take that option out of Arsenal’s hands.

Chelsea’s interest in their London rivals’ top scorer Alexis Sanchez has been made well known but, according to the bookmakers, Barcelona could make a move for two other first team regulars at the Emirates.

According to 888Sport, the La Liga giants are 2/1 to bring right-back Hector Bellerin, who hails from Barcelona, to the Camp Nou as they look for the long-term replacement for Dani Alves, who left Barcelona last summer.

Bellerin has been linked to Barca for some time now but the odds would suggest that the Spanish side may end up making a double swoop of Arsenal stars this summer.

Mesut Ozil, who has continued to stall on contract talks, is 5/1 to join the likes of Luis Figo, Ronaldo and Gheorghe Hagi in the exclusive group of players to have lined out for both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The German international is reportedly unhappy in north London and is eager to listen to offers for his services. And Barcelona are seemingly interested.

It ain’t easy being an Arsenal supporter!
