Odds Against: The Weekly JOE Group Bet – Matchday 15

JOE

Sponsored by Sky Bet

We’ve got a good feeling about this week

After a pretty routine international break, we are back with our next instalment of the JOE Weekly Group Bet, and we’re feeling positive. Having come agonisingly close in recent weeks, surely this will be our first victorious week.

For Matchday 14, we are looking ahead to the weekend’s fixtures. Three of our selections focus on the Premier League, while one branches out to LaLiga.

Here are our selections for Matchday 15 of the JOE Weekly Group Bet, using the Sky Bet Group Bet feature.

Glory Hunter – Matt: BTTS in West Ham vs Everton

In Saturday’s late kick-off, ninth placed West Ham welcome 11th placed Everton to the London Stadium for a game that should provide plenty of action at both ends. Both sides have a multitude of attacking threats, while neither are particularly solid at the back, as shown by the Hammers’ goal difference of -5 and Everton’s of +1. I can see both teams finding joy going forwards on Saturday.

Captain Obvious – Wayne: Manchester City to beat Fulham

The odds on this outcome aren’t exactly great, for obvious reasons, but we want to get this group bet off to a good start. City have scored nine more goals than Fulham have conceded this season, and have 57 more points. Need I say more?

Dark Horse – Reuben: Valencia to beat Sevilla

Stretching the definition of ‘dark horse’ to its limits here, but Sevilla will go into this clash as favourites. Valencia have a bad habit of drawing games this season – 16 in the league alone – but will come firing out the blocks as they look to climb back into the European places. I’m backing them to take all three points at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.

The Stat Man – Si: Over 2.5 goals in Liverpool vs Tottenham

The past three meetings between Liverpool and Tottenham have provided at least three goals, and this weekend should be no different. With Harry Kane and Dele Alli back fit, and Sadio Mané in unstoppable form for the Reds, there’s no reason why this won’t be another goal fest. I’m hoping for plenty of excitement at Anfield on Sunday.
