Official Bayern Munich Twitter account finds the idea of signing Alberto Moreno hilarious

Poor Alberto Moreno is copping flak from all angles.

Initially, criticism of the Spaniard seemed limited to a small group of disgruntled Liverpool supporters. In time however, this has grown – helped along by Jamie Carragher.

You’d struggle to find a more under-fire player currently plying his trade in the Premier League than Moreno and, unfortunately for him, Reds fans are an awfully vocal bunch.

Jurgen Klopp’s hand has been forced, as much as he’s backed his full back in the media, and now James Milner finds himself occupying the space on the left hand side of the German’s back four.

Liverpool are running out of time to sign a left back in the summer transfer window and, in all likelihood, there won’t be one arriving in the days ahead. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop an optimistic fan taking the bull by the horns and asking Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich (well, their official Twitter account in the USA) to part with Austrian international David Alaba in exchange for Moreno.

Although we’re relatively sure it wasn’t recently-appointed Carlo Ancelotti that was responsible for the reply, it’s safe to say that Bayern probably won’t be too keen to strike such a swap deal any tome soon.
