This social media fail from a non-league football team is going viral for the right reasons

Not the first time this has happened

Cometh the hour, cometh the social media manager.

Jarrow Roofing FC may not exactly be behemoths of the English league system, but the non-league side have been garnering a lot of attention recently thanks to their activity on social media.

Their livetweeting of their friendly against Hartlepool FC has been racking up the interactions on Twitter because it came to a sharp halt mid-match.

Andy Hudson, the guy runs their Twitter account, coaches their goalkeepers and acts as vice chairman of the club, was forced to end his commentary early when he was brought into the game for the second half.

Unfortunately for Hudson, he was between the posts when Hartlepool got their equaliser and the game finished 1-1. However, if you ask the man himself, the goal shouldn’t have stood anyway.

If you’re getting a strong sense of deja vu, that’s because pretty much the exact same thing happened earlier this year with Sleaford Town FC.

What a time to be alive.
