Nike are 'deeply concerned' by the disturbing allegations

Nike have suspended their relationship with Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood.
The decision by the sportswear manufacturer follows confirmation by the
Greater Manchester Police on Sunday, January 30 that a man in his 20s had been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
GMP released an update on Monday, confirming that detectives had been granted additional time to interview the suspect.
Following an initial statement regarding Greenwood on Sunday, Manchester United issued an update on the situation, saying the player
"will not return to training or play matches until further notice".
Nike - who sponsor Greenwood - released a statement on Sunday saying they were "deeply concerned" after
allegations that Greenwood assaulted a young woman.

As reported by the BBC's Dan Roan, Nike have since decided to suspend their relationship with the footballer.
The statement read: "We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood. We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."
