Neymar was travelling from Barbados at the time

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar endured a scary moment while on holiday after his private jet was forced to make an emergency landing.

Neymar was travelling back to his native Brazil after spending time in the Caribbean island of Barbados and reports from The Sun say that the plane was forced to land in the North East of Brazil and that there were no casualties on board.

The Brazilian had posted a picture of himself posing on a runway with his sister on social media as the pair prepared to board the flight and posted a later story on Instagram of him flying over Miami, Florida in the USA.

Most of Neymar’s time abroad has been spent in the United States this summer and he was seen partying with the Golden State Warriors in Las Vegas after their NBA Championship victory.

Neymar has had a disappointing season at PSG

Neymar is currently away after a disappointing season in France, during which he and PSG failed to win the Champions League yet again after surrendering a two-goal aggregate lead to Real Madrid in the last 16.

Despite winning the Ligue 1 title, PSG were widely criticised by their supporters with the likes of Neymar and Lionel Messi receiving the wrath of fans.

The 30-year-old did end his own season on a more positive note though, after he scored three goals in the recent International break: twice in a 5-1 win against South Korea and the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory against Japan.

Those goals mean that Neymar is now only three goals behind Pele in the Brazilian all-time scorers chart with 74.
