Newcastle United have launched an audacious plan to resign their ex-star Yohan Cabaye by camouflaging themselves as his current club.

The Magpies' form has nosedived since the all-action midfielder was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £19m in January 2014. And now the Geordies are ready to win back their man. In an attempt to steal a march on Crystal Palace and former manager Alan Pardew, Newcastle have cunningly disguised their new third kit to look like a PSG jersey. "Just between you and I (and Sports Direct), we're hoping Yohan will be confused into signing for us," a Newcastle spokesperson didn't say. "But the official line is that the colours are peacock-bright, plasma-white and pinky-rouge - definitely not red, white and blue..." Image via us.puma.com
