Napoli ultras show hooligans how to greet opposition fans

You hate to see it

Reuben Pinder

With a big old hug

Juventus host Napoli tomorrow night for the biggest game of the Serie A season. Juve have a four point lead on Napoli, who are still chasing their first Scudetto since the Diego Maradona era.

A win for Napoli would mean the title race is well and truly back on, and football fans all over Europe will be rooting for Maurizio Sarri’s underdogs, hoping that Juve will finally be dethroned in Italy.

It wouldn’t be a big Italian game without the visiting fans making their presence known in the local town. That’s exactly what the Neapolitans did today, as a wave of sky-blue jerseys stormed Turin.

Video footage has emerged on Twitter of Napoli fans charging through a narrow street in Turin and give Juventus fans one hell of a greeting.

As the away ultras charge towards the Juventus fans in a rugby scrum-like formation, the Juve fans brace themselves for what is about to hit them.

The barrage of hugs was too much to handle for some Juve fans, as they burst into song in a sea of white, black and blue shirts.

Let’s hope the authorities are well placed to make sure this sort of thing doesn’t happen tomorrow night. This is exactly the sort of thing we hate to see.
