Naked Premier League managers should know better…

Revealing too much

Simon Lloyd

Responding to a fan during a Twitter Q&A, Ryan Shawcross kept it short when asked about his former manager’s alleged naked bust-up.

The Stoke City defender had been asked about an incident which took place following a game between Stoke City and Arsenal in December 2009.

Although the incident has never been confirmed by Stoke City, Shawcross’ reply – which has since been deleted – appears to confirm that it very much did.

Presumably because his Stoke City side had lost the game, Tony Pulis was not a happy man and reportedly cancelled the players’ Christmas party, to the annoyance of James Beattie.

The story goes that Pulis, wearing nothing but a towel, confronted Beattie and a fight broke out. During that fight, the towel came off.

The scrap allegedly continued.

West Brom’s players better make sure that they’re performing when December comes around…
