Man United suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brentford
The Manchester United Supporters’ Trust (M.U.S.T) released a statement calling for a change of ownership once again after United‘s embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday.

Four goals in the just over the opening half-hour of the game condemned Erik ten Hag‘s side to a humiliating loss and leaves them bottom of the Premier League after two games.

After reaching a new low in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, M.U.S.T called for the club’s owners – the Glazer family – to take accountability for United’s rapid decline.
They said: “What we have witnessed tonight [Saturday] is an embarrassment – no, a humiliation – for Manchester United fans. And yet in many ways it was not a surprise. It feels like the culmination of a long-term direction of travel.
“MUST hold the owners of the Club primarily responsible for this new low in our decade of decline. Sir Alex papered over the cracks, but since 2013 the consequences of our owners has been plain to see.
“On behalf of Manchester United fans everywhere, we demand urgent and radical change. And we as fans – all of us – need to stick together. Fans unity, with one voice aimed at the owners and the club, is needed more than ever right now.
“Finally, as the fans in the ground today showed, we will always support the shirts. Support the team, and defend the club. Our flag is deepest red, and we will never die.”
Neville and co slam United performance
Pundits and ex-Man United players all around also slammed the performance in west London on Saturday. Gary Neville said the game he saw was like “watching a men’s team against Under 9s” and that it is a “real achievement to spend £1bn and still be this bad.”

Rio Ferdinand meanwhile refused to pin the blame on Ten Hag and like many others, also blaming the owners for the culture imposed at the club.
“I don’t feel sorry for the players, I feel sorry for Ten Hag,” Ferdinand said, speaking on his Vibe with Five podcast.
“He’s coming under false pretences. He’s coming expected new signings. He’s probably sitting there thinking ‘I’ve been sold a dummy here. I didn’t know I was coming into this’. Confidence, I know, was going to be low.
“Where the hell are they?! Get here! Get over here!
“This ain’t like no normal business, this is a football club with heritage with history, with character, with personality, real people involved. So, treat it like that.
“They don’t communicate with the fans, they’re not communicating with the people, no one knows where they are, no once can put a face to it! I think that’s disrespectful and I think it’s out of order.”
