Moussa Dembele reminds fans of his warning about Brendan Rodgers

Moussa Dembele has seemingly suggested that his previous veiled warnings to Celtic supporters were in reference to the club’s now-former manager, Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers left the Scottish champions on Tuesday afternoon after agreeing a deal to take over at Leicester City following Claude Puel’s sacking.

Neil Lennon is set to take over from Rodgers until the end of the season, with Damien Duff and John Kennedy joining the former Celtic captain as coaches.

Rodgers’ decision was met with ridicule by ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton, who claimed that the Northern Irishman was leaving the Bhoys in a tough situation.

Also making his feelings known about the move was Moussa Dembele, the French forward who moved from Celtic Park to Lyon last August.

Dembele’s relationship with Rodgers came under the media microscope after Rodgers insisted that the young striker would be going nowhere despite reports linking him to several top clubs around Europe.

It was at that point, after a Europa League qualifying win over Suduva, that Dembele took to social media with a pair of curious posts in as many days prior to his move.

Dembele seems to be warning Celtic supporters to be discerning with who they trusted at the club by hinting at dishonesty from an unnamed individual.

Fast forward to Tuesday night and it has become very clear that the 22-year-old was referring to Rodgers with the above tweets as he reacted to news of his former boss’ return to the Premier League with two interesting hashtags before following up with a famous clip featuring Muhammad Ali.
