Morgan Schneiderlin ruled out of Man United’s crucial trip to Wolfsburg

The bad news keeps coming for Manchester United fans.

Not only have they forgotten how to find the back of the net while their outcast strikers bang goals in for fun, but they’re also dealing with something of an injury crisis.

Morgan Schneiderlin is the latest to fall victim, as he picked up an injury in his side’s 0-0 draw with West Ham on Saturday and will not travel to Germany for United’s final group game against Wolfsburg.

United currently trail the German club by one point and sit one point ahead of third-placed PSV Eindhoven, who host bottom club CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

But Louis van Gaal’s side are already without captain Wayne Rooney as well as Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia.

A loss could see them drop into the Europa League as PSV would require just a draw to finish higher thanks to their superior head-to-head record, while a win by the English club would guarantee them top spot.
