Mo Salah shows his true colours with message to Loris Karius

Mo Salah is aware how tough it is to be Loris Karius right now

In 2018, Loris Karius feels more like a meme than a professional footballer. Ever since his historically awful blunders in the Champions League final, the German shot-stopper has been the butt of every joke.

As if making the worst mistake of your career on the biggest stage in club football wasn’t bad enough, every single error he has made since has been highlighted.

It hasn’t helped that he has continued his string of mistakes in pre-season. He messed up against Chester, then against Tranmere and yet again in their clash with Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.

These errors have only seen the abuse he has received increase exponentially. At least, it’s safe to assume that based off a recent Instagram story of his in which he addressed the keyboard warriors.

“To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you. Whatever it is thats [sic] happening in your life to hold this much anger and hate, I pray that it passes and good things come to you.”

To make matters worse for Karius, his time between the posts at Anfield is coming to an end.

Jurgen Klopp broke the bank to find a new number one this transfer window. They made Alisson Becker the most expensive goalkeeper ever by shelling out £67 million for the Brazilian.

Liverpool’s talisman knows the spotlight is shining on Karius for all the wrong reasons. He’s aware of all the abuse. He knows what he needs in his hour of need is support from those who are closest to him.

While anonymous faces are hurling abuse at Karius, he will find comfort in a familiar one giving him some words of encouragement.

That’s loyalty right there.
