Hats off to Danielle Nickerson.
Nickerson was unwillingly dragged into a war of words when top UFC welterweight Colby Covington decided to kick her boyfriend, Mike Perry, when he was down.
Perry had just been defeated on the UFC Orlando main card, coming up on the wrong end of a unanimous decision to Max Griffin, when Covington took to Twitter.
Covington is known as the biggest troll in all of mixed martial arts and it’s hardly surprising to see ‘Chaos’ mock a beaten rival but several fighters felt that he went too far when he insulted Perry’s girlfriend, who was in his corner.

Most believed that Covington had finally crossed the line by commenting on a foe’s loved one but Nickerson saw the funny side of things as she brushed off the classless insult.
Nickerson proved that the remark about her appearance didn’t get to her as she posed alongside a horse and posted the picture with the caption: “Just horsing around.”

Perry, meanwhile, is recovering after suffering back-to-back defeats for the first time in his career.
‘Platinum’, who is no stranger to controversy himself, insisted that he would treat Saturday’s loss as a learning experience and come back stronger than ever.
“I will let you see how life hits sometimes,” Perry said. “A couple of stitches there. I ain’t afraid of it, though. It’s all a learning lesson. … No shame in my game.
