Michail Antonio is in talks to join a new club, more than 6 months after leaving Premier League side West Ham United.
Antonio left West Ham in the summer, when his contract expired, and has been without a formal club since.
The 35-year-old has not played senior professional football since December 2024, when he suffered a broken leg in a car accident.
Over the past few weeks Antonio has been finalising his recovery with Championship side Charlton Athletic, fuelling rumours that he may sign a contract with the relegation-threatened club.
On Saturday, when asked about whether Antonio could join Charlton, the club's manager said: "the wheels are still in motion," but that there was "nothing to announce" quite yet.
Since leaving the London Stadium, the player was also heavily linked with a move to another EFL side, in Leicester City, but a deal never materialised.
It now appears that Antonio is more likely to join a club from outside of Europe, following reports another side have now entered the conversation to sign the Jamaica international .
