Memphis Depay has released a rap video and it’s quite something

Paul Moore

Well, what do you make of this Manchester United fans?

If Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones’ recent duet at Chris Smalling’s wedding wasn’t impressive enough, Memphis Depay has emerged as a new contender for the accolade of ‘Manchester United player that’s most likely to compete on X-Factor.’

Ok, we’re fairly certain that this title doesn’t exist at Old Trafford, but the Dutchman has thrown his hands into the air and made himself available for selection…you know, if he was actually at old Trafford right now.

The £25 million signing from PSV has spent this season on loan at Lyon where he scored 5 goals in 17 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.

It appears that he’s enjoying his summer holiday because the 23-year-old has just released a rap song with Quincy that’s called  LA Vibes Freestyle 1.0.

In terms of lyrical genius, expect to hear rhymes like “Couple trophies that’s all I won, but I’m not feeling blessed I’ve just begun.” and “You don’t like me anyway, that’s why I don’t care.”

Well, at least he’s not dressing like a matador anymore.

Take a look.

Some of the reaction has been pretty brutal. Haters be hating.

Then again, some people reckon that Memphis is a rapping genius.
