Matt Le Tissier has responded to the news that he has been let go by Sky Sports, along with his colleagues Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson.
The trio were sacked on Tuesday as Sky look to find ways of cutting costs during a financially precarious time.
Le Tissier, who became a pundit on Sky Sports after retiring from his playing career, tweeted his appreciation to the backroom team at Sky and thanked viewers for their support.
"Enjoyed my time at Sky Sports," he said.
"Time to look forward to life's next challenge. Thank you for the support down the years and special thanks to the backrooom team which include @CazzaEccles, @CarlyBassett, @tvtrevstats amongst many others.
"Good luck all, have a lovely day," he added.
