Mason Greenwood turns down chance to switch international teams, report claims

Mason Greenwood has rejected the opportunity to switch international teams from England to Jamaica, according to reports. Greenwood had charges of attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour dropped last month. The 21-year-old forward is currently suspended by Manchester United pending the result of a club investigation. According to reports in the UK, even if Greenwood plays again for Man United, his England career is over. The following day, Greenwood and teammate Phil Foden were sent home after they breached covid rules by bringing two women into the team hotel. Gareth Southgate, the Three Lions manager, reportedly has no intention of selecting the player to represent England again. Greenwood, however, would be allowed to switch international allegiance to Jamaica, as he qualifies for the Caribbean nation. From September, he would be eligible to switch international teams and play for the country. Greenwood, however, has reportedly turned down the chance to play for Jamaica. Earlier this week, it was reported that Man United received offers from Turkish clubs to take Greenwood on loan.
