Now Marouane Fellaini is getting booed by Man United fans just for warming up

This didn't go down well.

At what point can we start feeling sorry for Marouane Fellaini?

The Belgian international is hardly the most popular man at Old Trafford after coming on and conceding a late penalty in the draw with Everton.

Indeed, many United supporters never took to him – for some it was his association with David Moyes, for others it was the…well…bad football.

That’s no reason to boo one of your own players as he warms up on the touchline, but as the Old Trafford faithful say, “we’re Man United, we’ll do what we want”.

The actions of a section of the crowd – and we don’t know how many were involved – were condemned by those not inside the stadium.

Thankfully for United’s fans, Fellaini was ultimately left on the bench until the final minute of stoppage time, with Eric Bailly coming on in a midfield role and Fellaini only replacing Ander Herrera with seconds remaining.

But for those who were desperate to get those sweet, sweet boos out of their system, another opportunity arose when goalscorer Henrikh Mkhitaryan went off injured.

Danny Rose, the man whose challenge forced the Armenian to leave the field of play, subsequently bore the brunt of the anger.
