Manchester United say Mason Greenwood will not play or train for foreseeable future
Allegations surfaced on Sunday morning
Mason Greenwood will not train with Manchester United for the foreseeable future, following allegations of domestic abuse, the club have confirmed.
On Sunday morning, a young woman accused the forward of domestic abuse, posting photographs of injuries allegedly inflicted by him to her Instagram story.
One story slide was captioned: "To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me."
All the posts have since been taken down.
United then released a statement in which they stressed that they "do not condone violence of any kind" and that they will make no comment until the "facts have been established."
A few hours later, the club issued an update on the situation, saying: "
“Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”
