Manchester United fans debate whether De Gea is their best 'keeper ever
David De Gea had another blinder in yesterday's thriller against Arsenal.
Apart from the goal for which Alexandre Lacazette found himself in a acres of space after Aaron Ramsey expertly beat the offside trap, De Gea look impregnable at the Emirates.
Making instinctive stops with his feet, which have become the Spaniard's trademark save, the 27 year old was on fire, making an incredible total of 14 saves against the Gunners.
United fans have been debating whether he is the club's best ever goalkeeper, with some claiming he has risen beyond the levels of Peter Schmeichel.
De Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world right now. Has been for a few years. But Schmeichel was still better #MUFC 🆗

I never thought it was possible that I would see a #mufc goalkeeper as good as Peter Schmeichel in my lifetime. I was wrong: David de Gea

Schmeichel had a great defence in front of him. For most of De Gea's United career he hasn't, so what he's doing is arguably more impressive.

Poor Edwin van der Sar hardly gets a mention. That's where saving a Champions League-winning penalty gets you.
United's 3-1 victory at The Emirates keeps them in second, moving them to within five points of Manchester City, who face a struggling West Ham side at The Etihad on Sunday afternoon.
Paul Pogba was shown a straight red in the second half of the game for a challenge on Hector Bellerin. He will miss next weekend's Manchester derby through suspension as a result.
