Manchester United fans are really jumping to conclusions after Spurs’ Danny Rose “hint”

Don't go getting "Rose" on the back of your jersey just yet.

Several Manchester United supporters have leapt to the conclusion that their club will sign Tottenham Hotspur left back Danny Rose when the January transfer window opens. With Luke Shaw's ongoing fitness issues and apparent inability to convince manager Jose Mourinho to make him a part of his long-term strategy at Old Trafford, a replacement could well come in. It was always a possibility that Rose would leave Mauricio Pochettino's side after his explosive interview in which he questioned his side's transfer activity and voiced his disappointment with his salary. "I am reaching my peak and have probably only got one big contract left in me," Rose said in August. "Time is running out and I do want to win trophies. I don't want to play football for 15 years and not have one trophy or one medal. I will say this too, I will play up north. "I don't know exactly when but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere. I have been away for over 10 years now and I don't get to see my mum that often. I'm not saying I want out, but if something came to me that was concrete, I'd have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the club.'' But the calendar omission is not quite the hint that some optimistic fans think it must be as Football London have revealed the real reason that Rose, and several of his teammates, were not included. Apparently, the calendar was put together at a time when the likes of Rose and Erik Lamela were injured and had not yet been pictured in Spurs' new Nike kit, meaning that they were left out of the final product. Rose may well leave Spurs and he may well join United but the calendar really doesn't suggest that either is a foregone conclusion.
