Manchester Derby line-ups: Mkhitaryan starts but there’s no Rashford

No Aguero for City, no Rashford for United

Marcus Rashford’s late heroics for Manchester United at Hull have not been enough to earn him a start in the Manchester Derby.

The striker, who scored a hat-trick for England’s Under-21 side in midweek, earned Jose Mourinho’s team a last-gasp victory last time out, but remains on the bench.

There is a first Premier League start for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, however, with the Armenian international replacing Juan Mata in one of two changes, the other seeing Jesse Lingard preferred to Anthony Martial.

Manchester City, however, have put faith in a teenager up front.

Kelechi Iheanacho comes in for Sergio Aguero, who is serving a three-match suspension for his part in an off-the-ball incident during the victory over West Ham United.

There had been talk of a full debut for new signing Leroy Sane, but the German international is only on the bench, with Nolito and Premier League Player of the month Raheem Sterling flanking Nigerian striker Iheanacho.

Claudo Bravo does make his City bow, with the former Barcelona goalkeeper replacing Willy Caballero between the sticks after his big-money summer move.

Pep Guardiola has also recalled Bacary Sagna, with the French right-back replacing Pablo Zabaleta, while Aleksandar Kolarov comes in for Gael Clichy on the opposite flank.
