Shakhtar Donetsk’s Kaua Elias in on the radar for both United and Arsenal, as both clubs try to close a deal before the end of the transfer market.
The 20 year-old footballer most recently scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Kudrivka, in the club's Ukrainian Premier League debut this Monday.
Arsenal and United scouts are reported to have witnessed Elias’ performance seeing lots of promise in the young Brazilian’s abilities, according to The Sun.
However, they weren’t the only ones to have seen Elias’ hat-trick, with AC Milan and Porto also wanting a piece, in a race to sign the forward.
Elias made the move to Shakhtar Donetsk in early 2025, in provenance from his formative club, Fluminese.
With 36 appearances for Shakhtar under his belt, the Brazilian forward managed to net 11 goals last season, including a goal in the Conference League.
Valued at £30 million, the move would be quite a gamble for a top Premier League side, however a tempting one.
Elias had this to say regarding his fit for the club, upon his arrival to the Ukrainian side: “I am a central forward with a great goal-scoring instinct.
“I can play well with the head, I perform well in and out of the penalty area, I can pick up speed quite easily,” he said.
“I am sure that with the skills I listed I will be able to benefit the team, because this is my main goal during my time at the club.”
Speaking after his hat-trick, Elias stated: "I'm delighted that the team won! We worked really hard during pre-season and claimed a very important victory.”
Elias had much praise for the Shakhtar Donetsk boss, and former Atletico Madrid and Barcelona midfielder, Arda Turan
“He knows how to show us the path we need to follow and the vision of football we should embrace, so that we don’t just win matches, but win them while staying true to our values,” said the forward.
Despite the praise the young Brazilian star gives to Shakhtar, the club has shown interest in selling him for £30 million.
Kaua Elias is part of a long line of Brazilian talent that played for the Ukrainian side, however this might not be the case for much longer.
