Man United chief responds to transfer window concerns

Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos are now in United’s pocket for a combined £70 million fee, with the addition of goalkeeper Karl Darlow in a free transfer deal. 

With United handing over the keys to Michael Carrick for the upcoming season, the club is expected to do better than in the previous campaign. 

Additionally, they will be competing in the Champions League this season, leaving many fans weary over the club’s lack of signings over the summer.

The Red Devils are still looking for a left-back and another central midfielder.

Marcus Rashford has been confirmed to come back to Old Trafford after a year-long loan spell to Barcelona. 

One senior official of the club has spoken to BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone, in which he states his following views on the matter.

With almost three weeks remaining before the transfer window shuts down, it’s too early for fans to panic, whether it be the United ones or other Premier League teams.

The official said: “The club should be judged at the end of the transfer window.”
