Manchester United are set to lose more than £50 million in match-day revenue following their early exits from the EFL and FA Cups, coupled with their lack of European football, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The Red Devils crashed out of the FA Cup on Sunday evening, losing 2-1 to Brighton at home while under the stewardship of interim head coach Darren Fletcher. The elimination followed a shock defeat to Grimsby Town in the opening round of the Carabao Cup back in August.
Those defeats means that by the end of this season, Man United will play just 40 competitive fixtures, their lowest total since 1915.

Of those 40 fixtures, just 20 will be played at home, down from 30 last season.
The Telegraph report that, thanks to Ruben Amorim's run to the 2025 Europa League final, the Red Devils were able to bring in £5.34 million per Old Trafford match last season, bringing their overall total from that revenue source to £160.3 million for the season.
With United only able to play a maximum of 20 home matches this time around, the most they can gain from match-days is £106.8m, that's £53.5 million less than the previous year.
Even considering increases to season ticket prices, the Red Devils are still expected to be down on match-day earnings by tens of millions by the time the season ends in May.
Again per the Telegraph, in order to make up for losses, Man United are considering a mid-season friendly match, either in Asia or the Middle East.
No agreement has yet been reached over the potential friendly, and it remains to be seen where it would take place.
