Former Man United playmaker Shinji Kagawa admits he’s interested by Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp

Former Manchester United player Shinji Kagawa has been speaking about Liverpool under his former manager, Jurgen Klopp.

The Japanese international was brought to Europe by Klopp when he signed him for Borussia Dortmund from Cerezo Osaka in 2010.

Kagawa was a key player for the Dortmund side that won consecutive German titles in 2011 and 2012 and returned to play under Klopp after a disappointing spell in Manchester came to an end after two years in 2014.

Despite his connections with United, Kagawa has admitted that he is interested in Liverpool’s revival under his former coach.

“I am interested in how much and how quickly Klopp, the manager that I know, can change the team at Liverpool,” Kagawa told Omnisport.

“He is a great coach and the results prove it, so I hope it will continue for him and I am interested in how much they can contend as a team this season.

“Already they have drastically changed and I have read articles that they won eight games in the last 10 games [seven in 11]. I do watch the games sometimes when I have time or when they broadcast on TV.
