United's midweek clash at Brentford is now in doubt

Manchester United have closed down their training ground due to a coronavirus outbreak within their squad. The Athletic reported that the Red Devils made the decision to close their Carrington Training Complex and that they were in discussions with Premier League about Tuesday's game at Brentford. The training ground has been closed for 24 hours in order to minimise risk of any further infection, with the relevant individuals who tested positive now isolating. United announced that - with the health of players and staff being the priority - they are now working with the Premier League to decide if it is safe for them to play against Brentford, 'both from a Covid infection and player preparation perspective'.
