Lucas Moura could be getting his Premier League move this month after all

He could be England-bound after all

Simon Lloyd

Only a week ago, it seemed a very real possibility that Lucas Moura would be on his way to Manchester United before the month was out.

The Brazilian snubbed United for Paris Saint-Germain several years back but has recently found his opportunities to play for the French side limited thanks to the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. With Jose Mourinho said to be on the lookout for another forward, it seemed Moura was a good fit.

Now though, it appears this will not be the case. United, as we’re sure you’ve probably heard by now, are nearing a deal for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, who had appeared close to joining Manchester City. Because of this, a United move for Moura is well and truly off the table.

This is not to say that the 25-year-old won’t be making the move to the Premier League before the month’s out, however.

After reports in L’Equipe linked Tottenham with a move for Moura, this is also being reported by Sky Sports. Jim White, presenting on Sky Sports News, indicated that PSG were listening to permanent offers for the winger and that Tottenham were “in the box seat” for the player.

The news comes on the same day as Spurs were linked with a move for another French-based Brazilian, Malcom, who it had previously thought had been interesting Arsenal.
