"I’ve always been a massive FIFA fan so it’s great to be crowned FIFA Champ," he explained.
"There’s always huge competition amongst the players when it comes to FIFA so they will definitely be trying to take my crown. Good luck to them though….they’re not having it!"
Andy Tomkins, Senior Marketing Director in the UK for EA, was one of the first to congratulate Clyne on his victory.
"Everyone at EA SPORTS would like to congratulate Nathaniel on his victory. We know FIFA is hugely popular in dressing rooms up and down the country. It seems to draw out the natural competitive instinct of the players so we thought we’d challenge them to walk the walk in front of a live audience and it was great entertainment.
"There were some seriously good FIFA players on show so it’s testament to Nathaniel’s skills that he came out on top. I’m sure there’ll be a fair few vying for his title next year!"
