Liverpool fans slag off scapegoat Firmino…whilst others rush to his defence

Liverpool may have defeated an extremely dangerous Stoke side 1-0 in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final, but not everyone was entirely happy.

There was a whole lot of moaning about Liverpool’s Brazilian forward Firmino, who may not have yet hit the heights of his Bundesliga days, but probably deserves a bit of patience.

Not so for some of the Scouse faithful, who singled out the player for some really harsh criticism. It is true that the player missed a chance or two, but he never stopped running and wasn’t lacking in effort.

These fans, however, were sick of the sight of him and made their feelings plain…

Thankfully for Firmino, quite a number disagreed with such sentiments and jumped to the defence of the Brazilian, who they are sure will come good with a little time and encouragement…
