Liverpool fans are giddy about signing Gotze…but some aren’t even sure they need him

Liverpool supporters seem divided about the prospect of signing Mario Gotze.

A great number would be ecstatic about the Bayern Munich star making a €50m switch to Anfield - as reported in Bild - and linking up with his former mentor Jurgen Klopp. But others aren't quite so sure. They don't see the merit in splashing out a fortune on a position that is already well-stocked with the likes of Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Robert Firmino. Could Liverpool do with a World Cup-winning playmaker? Or would he just clutter up the place?
