Liverpool airport have given Cristiano Ronaldo the offer of a lifetime by informing him that they are able to fly him to any of the destinations where prospective clubs are interested in signing him.

Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United and has yet to report for pre-season training, citing ‘family reasons’ as to why he has absent at Carrington.

Several clubs have registered their interest in the 37-year-old, with the likes of Bayern Munch, Sporting, Paris Saint-German and Roma all reportedly eyeing up a move for the forward.

Thankfully the staff at Liverpool were on hand to lend some help should Ronaldo be tempted by any of the prospective buyers, listing all the places and airlines he could fly with. There was also glowing recommendations for the hospitality he would get.

There was also a sly dig at neighbouring city Manchester, where the airport has come under huge scrutiny amid a series of delayed flights, long queues and a shortage of staff.

They tweeted: “Itching to get out of Manchester, but want to avoid the queues?

“We happily invite @Cristiano to try the North West’s Faster, Easier, Friendlier Airport, where he can connect on to Munich or Lisbon with Lufthansa, or fly Ryanair direct to Paris or Rome.”

Word of advice Cristiano, if you do decide to fly, get fast track security. You’ll be able to enjoy your airport pint in no time in that case.

All is not well for the forward currently though. As well as his delayed return to training, reports have claimed he has been left ‘upset’ after his wage was cut by 25 per cent, meaning he will only be paid £360,000 a week. He might just have enough for an economy ticket now.
